Privacy
How the Mwendo Resource Hub handles your information. Last updated 1 September 2026.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture. That is the entire list. We request no other permissions, and we have no access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or any other Google service through your account.
Why we collect it
Your email address is used for one purpose: to check whether you are a member of the Mwendo Resource Hub shared drive, and therefore whether you may view its contents. Your name and picture are shown only to you, so you can confirm which account you are signed in as.
What we store
Nothing about you is written to a database. Your identity lives only in an encrypted session cookie in your own browser, which expires after seven days or when you sign out.
Separately, this site keeps a search index built from the files in the Resource Hub — their names, folder locations, and extracted text. That index describes the shared resources, not you. It records nothing about who searched for what.
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.
- We do not track your searches, clicks, or reading history.
- We do not run advertising or third-party analytics.
- We do not send your information to any external AI or search service. Search runs entirely on our own server.
- We cannot modify anything in your Google account. This site is read-only.
Removing your access
You can revoke this app's access at any time from your Google account permissions page. Because we store nothing, there is no account data left behind to delete.
